2003 – 2004
The founders of Jasper’s, Nathan and Paul, spotted the opportunity to build a successful corporate catering business using unique systems and providing exceptional products and service.
After only two years, Nathan and Paul saw that Jasper’s catering services were in huge demand and the business was ever-increasing. They looked at the target market and realised that the business model they were using could easily be replicated in areas throughout the UK. Work on the franchise model began.
2005 - 2006
Nathan and Paul started to develop the Jasper’s brand into a franchise package, creating manuals, procedures and marketing strategies to grow Jasper’s in new territories.
The pilot franchise was established in August 2007 and was a success from the outset. For the first six months the pilot franchise was watched closely to iron out any teething problems.
2007 - 2008
A target of five franchises was chosen as Nathan and Paul wanted to make sure they got off to a flying start before extending the franchise network to the next stage. Five new franchises opened: in Northampton, Coventry, Kidderminster, Leicester and Ashford.
Another new franchise opened: Jasper’s in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Sue and Dave launched their franchise in January 2009 and are now our most successful franchise, bringing on new customers every week despite opening during the worst recession since the war.
Jasper’s concentrated on developing their existing franchisees, with one franchisee expanding their territory and others growing their business into the vending and onsite canteen market.
Another new franchisee also came on board, operating in Bedford and Milton Keynes.
In the second half of the year, two further franchises launched.
Three new franchises opened, in Brighton, Chester and North Nottingham. Jasper's HQ recruited personal assistants (based at Head Office) to support franchiseees with customer orders, admin and marketing.
Jasper's launch their first London franchise in Croydon, along with two more openings in Solihull and Warrington later that year. More personal assistants were recruited at Head office to support the network.

Jasper's also launched an unprecented marketing campaign: 'The 10,000 campaign' with a huge drive by Jasper's HQ to give franchisees £10,000 worth of business opportunity each week. Jasper's were a finalist (for the second time) at the Franchise Marketing Awards for this campaign.
Jasper's launched its new buffet catering ranges to sit alongside its renowned traditional buffet catering. The Bamboo, Tapas and Picnic buffet catering ranges were launched to offer customers more choice than any other caterer.
Jasper's expands its numbers at HQ with the recruitment of a sales team to assist new and existing franchisees with their growth. New launches are now assisted until they reach £3k turnover a week. Jasper's Epsom opens it's doors in September 2017.
In February, Jasper's open their first new franchise of the year in Wolverhampton. Jasper's Readng is launched in May followed by Jasper's Poole in July.
